Over the last two years, our team has been hard at work, developing an updated design and unique product for the Aquidneck Island market: Landings at Aquidneck Commerce Center.

We're proud to present this property, located at 819 Aquidneck Ave in Middletown, Rhode Island as the newest addition to our Island portfolio!

Demand for housing is expected to continue to increase significantly on the Island as we welcome up to 250 new families and personnel associated with the relocation of NOAA to Newport Naval Station. Completion of these smaller boutique style communities represent a small dent into the Island's future housing needs, but is a good start and more work needs to be done.

"Newport and Bristol counties are expected to see a combined 15 percent increase in jobs in the next decade. That increase will be more than offset by a predicted influx of nearly 10,000 retirees to the region, creating a further need for housing. According to Connect Greater Newport, Newport and Bristol counties will need to add 9,000 units of housing in the next 10 years to adequately meet the anticipated need. When designing the project, we conquered the challenge of placing 12 apartment units on a 27,000 sq ft parcel constructed with water management features to coincide with the drainage and stormwater work being constructed by Rhode Island Department of Transportation along the Aquidneck Ave. The integration of the features into the small land footprint ensures we're providing the community with what it needs, while being mindful and respectful towards the environmental footprint on our Island.

As the younger generation continues to shift away from the concept of single family residential houses, eco-friendly, luxury style apartments will become the norm. It is our responsibility to be able to design, engineer and build these apartments with the environment in mind, and become as efficient as possible. Landings at Aquidneck Commerce Center showcases modern engineering's ability to provide desirable living accommodations, while taking up a very small geographical footprint.
