Construction Progresses in Middleboro, MA
After several months of preparation, we are excited to announce that work is underway on a foundation stabilization project for building #5 at River Park Landings in Middleboro, Massachusetts. This is one of seven buildings at River Park Landings, housing 24 of the 121 total apartments in the community.
During our acquisition process, we were made aware that the building was going to require this work and this project was factored into our negotiations for the deal. Stabilizing a building's foundation is a heavy lift project requiring coordination of multiple teams and subcontractors. The scope of work for this project includes driving 23-foot piles into bedrock to stabilize the foundation, pouring a new foundation slab and completely reconstructing the first floor.
Our management team has done a fantastic job maintaining 100% occupancy on the remaining 97 units throughout this entire process. We are proud to have partnered with Helico who underpinned the building, and to Eric Pessa who did the precision digging.
We're anticipating the building to be stabilized by the end of August, with the goal of being fully occupied by the start of the new year. Thanks to all involved for all your efforts. We can't wait to move forward with this project and to continue improving our property for shareholders and residents alike!
